We are looking for a student, who will oversee the maintenance and design of our PV system components database. At the base of Solar Monkey's design software, we have a database of PV system components. The components include panels, inverters, optimizers, and batteries. This database is essential for our accurate yield calculations, system design validation, and monitoring.

This database increases almost daily as new models of PV components come out—and their specifications change over time as well. In order to accommodate the models of the different components in a concise, accurate, and useful structure, the database must evolve and keep maintained.


This is what you will do:

  • You will add new panels/inverters/etc to our database, to keep it up to date;

  • You will clean up the database by fixing mistakes/ archiving old components;

  • You will improve the maintenance process;

  • You will redesig the database fields in a flexible manner so that all needed technical aspects of each PV system component are accommodate.

Job requirements

  • You have knowledge of PV system components and can understand technical specsheets.
  • You are attentive to detail and organized as well as efficient—and good vibes are always a plus!
  • You are an excellent written communicator who can work well with others on our team.
  • Your English is fluent in speech and writing.
  • You are available for at least 2 hours on 3 days per week.

It is not required to live in the Netherlands. Solar Monkey works 90% remote, so you can do this student from abroad!
