We're seeking a Sales Manager in Madrid.


At Solar Monkey, we love making an impact by accelerating the transition to solar energy. We do this by giving solar installers superpowers with our innovative software. This allows them to work much more effectively and install even more solar installations. Our software installers can easily design, sell and maintain solar power systems remotely. We are active in 3 countries and are about to expand our horizons internationally. We have seen the Dutch market grow x5 within 5 years and are ready to see the same impact in the rest of Europe!

We are growing fast. This is why we are looking for a Sales Team Lead to expand our business by leading the Spain Sales Team and building and maintaining relationships with resellers of our software as a service product in Spain.


This role is based in Madrid. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for building relationships and a track record of successful sales in a B2B environment.


Responsibilities


  • Boost commercial results in Spain

  • Responsible for the sales targets, growth, and management of a team of 3 FTE in Spain

  • Lead the calibration sessions to maintain speed in developing the sales team in Spain

  • Market opening and business development in the Madrid region

  • Stakeholder management with broader Solar Monkey organization

  • Coach the sales executives on skills such as lead capture, visiting potential clients, and continuous customer support

  • Madrid 80% and 20% travel inside Spain

Job requirements


  • +5y Experience leading a sales team in software B2B in an international company (SaaS startup, Fast scaling companies with HQ in NL/UK/DE or previously report outside Spain)
  • +5Y Experience in selling B2B in Spain/Madrid
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business administration, economics, marketing, or related
  • Native Spanish
  • Working Proficiency English
  • You actively engage with others to optimize processes and reduce bottlenecks

  • You must live in the Madrid region

  • You want to work 30 to 40 hours a week. (Part-time or Full time)

  • Being flexible in a fast-growing scaleup

Phone screen

1-hour interview


This is a remote interview with the Hiring Manager and another member of the People Team. We will discuss your background and experience and leave some room for questions from your side.


Sales Assessment 


In this stage, you will receive information to present a case days before.  The hiring manager and the sales team, will evaluate your sales skills. 


Final Interview


For candidates that passed previous stages. This is more of a conversation meeting to resolve any pending questions on both sides.
