Finance Team - Work Student

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic student who is fluent in Dutch to join our Finance team for 2 fixed days per week. As our Finance work student you will work alongside our finance team and help with daily tasks.

At Solar monkey we love making an impact by accelerating the transition to solar energy. We do this by giving solar installers super powers with our innovative software. This allows them to work much more effectively and install even more solar installations. With our software installers can easily design, sell and maintain solar power systems remotely. We are active in 3 countries and are about to expand our horizon internationally. We have seen the Dutch market grow x5 within 5 years and are ready to see the same impact in the rest of Europe!

What will you be responsible for?

1. Solving Customer Inquiries: Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries, providing prompt and accurate responses to their questions and concerns.
2. Debtor Management Support: Assist in the debtor management process by actively chasing and calling debtors to facilitate timely payments and resolve outstanding issues.
3. Expense and invoice Management: Collaborate with the team in managing expenses, including but not limited to assisting in filling out receipts, handling expense reports, and invoice management.
4. Customer Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records by processing change requests and ensuring all information is correctly documented.
5. End of Month Closing Assistance: Support the team in the end-of-month closing process by compiling necessary data and assisting with related tasks to ensure timely and accurate closure.
6. Cash Flow Forecast Analysis: Analyze cash flow forecasts to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement. Work towards enhancing cash flow management processes.

Who are our customers?

Our market consists of solar panel installers. Sometimes these are self-employed, sometimes they are large installation companies that do not only panels but also heat pumps, charging stations and more. You immediately understand that you then have very different conversations. Some customers are very process-oriented. Others are not and then it is up to you to effectively make the translation between their wishes and the possibilities of our product. All your customers have one thing in common: they lack time and hands in the current market and hope to save a lot of time and money through our product. That is therefore where Solar Monkey's strength lies.

Our headquarters is located in The Hague, and we strongly believe that many creative ideas are best generated through real-life collaboration. Therefore, we encourage your physical presence in our office while you work, as it facilitates better teamwork and helps in your personal development. However, we also embrace a remote-friendly culture, allowing for the possibility to work from home when necessary.

Who are we looking for?

• You have knack for finance and know how to get things done
• You are pro active and eager to learn 
• You stand for open and honest communication 
• Your are fluent in Dutch and English in speech and writing.
• You are available around 16  hours per week on fixed days (we can review each quarter) 
• You are following a Financial study (e.g. Accounting, Corporate Finance etc.) and preferably still have 2 years to go.
